Faculty of Art
“We will colour your life.”
Are
you
passionate
about
studying
art?
Would
you
like
the
opportunity
to
develop
your
ability
to
express
yourself
creatively
through
drawing,
painting,
printmaking,
photography,
sculpture,
performance
art,
music
or
film?
Interested
in
comparing
artistic
movements
from
different
historic
periods
and
cultures?
Or
perhaps
you’re
a
budding
artist
yourself,
keen
to
develop
your
own
skills
and
artistic
vision
under
the
guidance
of
expert teachers.
The
structure
of
your
course
will
depend
on
the
type
of
art
degree
you
are
studying.
Our
Fine
art
courses
combine
History
of
Art
with
practical
work
that
of
a
practical
nature
taught
in
studios
or
workshops.
Our
Fine
art
courses
have
a
focus
on
studio-based
experimental
work.
Graduates
of
this
course
may
work
as
artists,
photographers
or
designers,
or
in
art
galleries,
museums
or
cultural
organisations,
teaching
or
arts
administration.
A
portfolio
of
artwork
to
demonstrate
your
creative
skills
is usually an entry requirement for this course.
The
faculty
of
Art
offers
a
three-year
course
in
which
students
work
alongside
each
other
in
collaboratively
organised
studios.
We
will
offer
you
the
facility
of
studying
the
different
aspect
of
fine
art
under
different
masters.
The
degree
will
be
divided
into
different
modules
to
allow
our
students
to
choose
the
modules
that
interests
them
the
most.
Unlike
most
other
art
courses
we
do
not
require
you
to
specialise
in
any
particular
medium.
The
freedom
of
this
approach
allows
our
students
the
chance to determine how their work develops without a strict structure.
After
graduation,
most
students
find
a
profession
in
fine
art
as
active
artists,
teachers
and
art
critics,
as
curators
in
private
or
public
galleries
and
for
arts
councils
and
organisations.
A
number
of
Art
students
also
pursue careers in academia, architecture, music and the film industry.
